Gerard tries to shake off the feeling, because it sounds from Mikey's tone that they're actually taking the boy home rather than using it as an excuse to find a secluded place. He isn't sure what it is, exactly, about this particular boy that makes the hunger (or something else, he wants him either way) flare up like this.
