on the + side, I've gotten snippets of a couple different origfics started for a few different universes, some I didn't expect. I'm not trying to finish anything, just writing whatever I come up with instead of obsessing over it forever until I don't feel like writing it anymore. I might share some, might not. I'm trying to hone my craft~, y'know. People tell me they like my writing, but I always feel like it's a mess or simplistic or something. I feel like it should be better, but I don't know what I can do to fix it. Writing more just makes me write more, it doesn't change how I write. Oh well, we'll see
the big - is that I found a PAID editorial internship at a publishing company in my area AND I just so happened to have an in with one of the VPs of the company (his daughter was in my sister's girl scout troupe, he and my dad are casual buddies) so I applied and then sent him my resume with a ":) :) halp :)" and he said I looked v. qualified and like I'd fit in well, and that he'd pass me on to the right people...and then e-mailed me again to let me know that he found out they weren't going to be hiring an intern because of the recession. of course, when something is perfect for me, it falls through. (the zoo doesn't want me either, btw) :(

Seriousy, this is uncapitalized, has emoticons and "idk!", and is not particularly coherent...but it does have werewolves. Some genderswap werewolves >_> (hai Way sisters!)

Give me one of my own stories, and a timestamp sometime in the future after the end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll write you at least a hundred words of what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.
My masterlist is here, if you need to remember anything...I think it's totally accurate and up to date, but I've been wrong before. Feel free to ask for anything that I've forgotten from there if you think of something :)

bbb and coraline
Feb. 15th, 2009 05:54 pmHow insane would it be for me to attempt a second BBB in which Gerard is the heir to a noble family, and has social struggle shenanigans with his sex slave, Frank, who is rebellious and bratty, and with Bob, who is a field slave that Gerard decided to claim for his own? Dynamics! Politics! Intrigue! SEX SLAVES!!! (Keeping in mind that I only have ~3k of my steampunk BBB done :\) It would be insane, right? Totally mad and impossible?
Back in B-town, eating a baked tater (Samwise would be so proud of me!) and considering working on my bio 9___9 I saw Coraline on Thursday and my thoughts on it are thus: SEE IT The film is perfectly gorgeous, the soundtrack is amazing, and it's just the sweetest thing while still being entirely creepy. I had moments of "awwwww" and moments of "AGHHHH" and I was a little worried about the addition of a new character but he's darling. Definitely definitely definitely see it, if just for the OMG factor of the fact that EVERYTHING IS MADE BY HAND. EVERY SINGLE TINY THING. The theater in town doesn't have 3D, so I had to see the 2D version :( but everything I've heard says the 3D is really well done...there were only like, two or three moments when I went "Oh, this is supposed to be 3D" so it must be really subtle.
PS, something with my webmail add-on is fuxx0red, it won't notify me of new mail in my hotmail account, any suggestions?

My afternoon class was canceled so I'm chilling...I totally busted it out last night and finished my domfic for ssd as well as writing...probably 3-4k of my ficathon fic. I'll work on that one some more this afternoon, and hopefully get that and my harem fic done so I can start focusing on BBB this weekend. I'll do beta posts once I get them done (the domfic has a beta already <3) and...idk,any first come, first serve? I pretty much just need people to read over it and go "You wrote it instead of in" and "I think you forgot to finish this sentence" because I tend to blast through shit when I'm writing. Last night was a really good night for writing...I tend to freak out a lot about what I'm doing, and be incapable of producing anything worth shit, but. When I just sit down and go for it, I feel really awesome. Like I can do it, and. I'm lame, okay? I feel like a ~*Real Writer*~ even though I'm writing self-indulgent semi-Victorian arranged marriage fic, and also dudes getting fucked with vibrators

I also got a late Xmas present from my boy Dr. Goose and omg omg omg, srsly, I am SO HAPPY. It's a book about Sandmaaaaaaan with all sorts of sketches and shit so I'm all \o/ Gonna curl up with that for a while this weekend
My Anthro class is really making me want to do REALLY REALLY COMPLEX AUs with like, cultural anxiety and shit. Also, I've been doing some sketches for my BBB and I might post some laterrrr.

Jan. 26th, 2009 03:55 pmIntro to Gender Studies is pretty much definitely going to be my top class of the semester. I love it, and I'm always really excited to go which happens to me like...never. We just get to talk about all the kind of stuff I want to talk about but don't really have anyone to talk about them with, and read really interesting pieces and RRGH LOVE ♥ ♥
Soooo BBBwise (damn, I need to make up a tag for this)...I was originally going to have Ray be kind of a presence in the house to kind of...drop in and explain shit to Frank that the audience needs to know about how Gerard's life is XD but I've since fallen in love with Ray as Lyn-Z's greased-up engineer/first mate (she's an airship captain~) and his starcrossed/long-distance love affair with Bob the surly mechanic cook (he's the only one willing to brave the kitchen machines Gerard loves to "improve") SO he doesn't really fit anymore. I was thinking about who I could replace him with and went OOH Matt Cortez! Except...the only thing I actually know about Cortez is that he likes porn. Any recommendations on Cortez characterizing/other people who are MCR-related and would fill the role well? (FYI, in case you hadn't heard, Gerard is the Eccentric Gentleman Inventor, Mikey is His Brother, Frank is his New Assistant, and Brian is the Butler]
