I was going to post a Waycest snipfic (in honor of my new icon, w00t!) but I want to actually work on it a little and maybe shine it up as a present for my sexbot (ilubb), so...have this teeny snippet that drifted into my head as I was doodling.
Patrick is totally mystified by Pete's costume choice. He had expected to be dragged into another poorly conceived Harry Potter cosplay (look, just because has red(dish) hair doesn't mean he has a higher calling as a Weasley. Especially Mrs. Weasley), or something else equally mortifying. Pete was a big fan of the group costumes (with himself as the main character, of course) but this year...this year Pete was some kind of canine. It would have made more sense if it was a full-body furry suit because god knows Pete had some horrible fixation with those, but it wasn't. Just a pair of ears, a black T-shirt, and a tail tucked into the back of his jeans.
It's deeply unspectacular, by Pete's usual standards and Patrick is confused until they get to the party. Pete scans the crowd for a few second before grinning and taking off towards a brilliant red cloak with a pair of dark-wash skinny jeans poking out from under it. Mikeyway turns and tucks his hair behind his ears, fingers brushing his hood, and smiles. And it all makes sense.
So yeah. Commentficcing was kind of ridiculously fun, and I'm thinking that might turn into a biweekly type of thing, just to get things flowing. MSI is coming to Milwaukee this summer, so I'm thinking about stealth-exposing it to a friend and seeing if maybe I can go \o/
