Okay. Here's the summary from the news articles that are out there:
In September of 2005, Brandon allegedly made a comment about the A&R executive they share, insinuating that he spent more time on FOB, or that the label backed FOB more. The next week, Pete posted in the FOB journal "It's funny the way you talk about sharing an A&R guy like it matters,"and "It's too bad you wrote a couple of good songs, otherwise it'd be that much easier to write you off." Pete signs the post: "Mr. Brightsides."
A few days later, Pete posts on fbr.com about patd: "I hope none of THE OTHER Las Vegas BANDs get jealous that there is another gem out in the middle of the desert. F---ing wasting my time on FLOWERS."
In April 2006, Pete offers to take Brandon out on a date to make amends: "The whole thing has never been like, 'Meet me at the bike racks after school!' And since the whole [feud] started, we've had a whole bunch of near-misses, where we'll show up at a party after he left or something like that," Wentz laughed. "So now I'd just like to make peace. I'd like to go out to dinner with Brandon, because I think he'd be an interesting dude to eat with. But I don't think he would go out to dinner with me. We'll go to Nobu or something like that. I'll get the rock shrimp, some California rolls, perhaps a little spicy tuna."
In June, Brandon gives this interview with NME: "You don't realize what you could be getting yourselves into, with Fall Out Boy, and what kind of impact it could have in a way that you don't really want. ... Culturally, if it gets as big as it is in America, it could change an entire generation of people growing up here. Emo, pop-punk, whatever you want to call it, is dangerous. We don't wanna dislike anyone, and we've still never met Fall Out Boy, but there's a creature inside me that wants to beat all those bands to death. They just all go into the happy emo funnel and everyone loves 'em without thinking. 'Oh, Fall Out Boy likes you? Fuck! I'm gonna go buy your CD!'"
