new year's revolution

I've never really been one for resolutions, but there is stuff I want to do this year, so why not?

Take writing seriously. I should always be working on something, whether fanwork or original. Submit at least 4 pieces to anthologies by the end of the semester. I should always have fun writing, but this is what I want to do for the rest of my life...it can't just be a hobby.

Tummy (either lose more weight or do crunches or some shit) | Say "yes" to more things | Make a new friend | Get more As than Bs | Be more forthright

...I hate feeling blah around the holidays. I know I should be happy. I went to my beffie's party for a while yesterday, hung with people, played Rock Band, but. I was blah before, and I was still blah when I woke up this morning. :| Blah.

In other news, my dad let me have a sip of his champagne last night, and I am never allowed to claim any kind of Important Reason for my subfreeness ever again because shit is assnasty. I made this series of faces |: \: O: D< It tasted like rubber, omg ;__; My tastebuds are not cut out for the boozin'

and y, that was pretty much my reaction when I tried ~~wine~ (then again, it was a glass of my friend's mom's white wine when I thought it was my water, so that's a factor). the stuff tastes like dish detergent :(

I tried some of my parents wine this year and I second the ass-nastiness of it. I couldn't get drunk if I tried, because I really can't drink a lot of something that tastes like drain cleaner.
(But I *did* try putting some 7-up in it later on and it definitely subdued the nasty. Still wasn't something I could drink a glass of.)
We are going to have such serious writer times this semester. We can do it!!
(Also: I had a dream last night that I returned to third floor and you had Lady Oliff-Cooper hairdo and were all grown up/mature and didn't want to goof off and be b-buds with me anymore... TT__TT)

I know how you feel, chica. I think a lot of people feel blah around the holidays. I deff. feel kind of blah in terms of body image and also writing. I think the best advice I've heard in a while is to take it one day at a time, say, just for today, I will do 45 crunches. Or whatever. Yeah. Yes, it's from AA. But it's kind of good, or I think so, anyway.
