Hee.

Just got home from rehearsal, good stuff.  Dance tomorrow (for real this time!), and I'm super excited.  Not much to report.  I'm planning to go see 300 on Thursday (PSST: There's a showing at 4:10, my dear wench...does that work for you?), which c'mon...sweaty, ripped men in teeny leather skirts?  Gerard Butler AND David Wenham?  Violence like whoa?  This movie has all the components to being teh pwnz0rz...hopefully it will deliver on all levels.

Still rocking out, and coping with the scourge of humanity: Daylight Savings Time.  Seriously, whose idea was it that I should lose an hour of sleep on a Monday morning?  WTF, mate.  I have an APUSH exam tomorow on WWII, so tension levels are high. ("FDR thought he charmed Stalin, except historiographers today think that Stalin totally PLAYED him."  "Truman was all 'Psst...we have a really big bomb.' And Stalin was just like 'Meh. BTW, elections?  Yeah, not having those.'"  And that's just from the teacher.)  But studying?  Shpff.  Like I study.  Honestly, though, studying has never really helped me.  Looking over stuff, yeah.  But I physically cannot cram.  If I don't didn't absorb the facts by now, they're not gonna stick. Sigh.

JuJu doesn't have CF tonight, so we'll probably watch something.  I'm hoping for the commentary on PotC2, it's supposed to be pretty groovy.

Wench:  I know I can't really relate to what you're going through, but I care, and I'm thinking of you and hoping for the best. <3

Didn't post last night, because the computer was being monopolized by JuJu, who has discovered some kind of demented cake-making game and refused to get off. >.<  After that, we watched Othello (the Fishburne/Branagh version), so it was okay.  Kenneth, you are a sexy sexy man, even though you are kinda old.  Your evil makes you sexier.

Watched an episode of Band of Brothers in APUSH today (Ep 7, "The Breaking Point," for inquiring minds).  That was depressing.  It was an interesting reversal from the way APUSH went yesterday, what with Truman!Thumb and Stalin!Thumb making out constantly.  And poor Truman!Thumb just kept getting his face completely sucked off by that dirty little commie.   When I say the upcoming exam is making us a wee bit cracked? I kid thee not.  But seriously, I felt kind of icky and slumpy inside for the rest of the day. Boo.

I was supposed to go dress shopping tonight for Senior Ball, but my rehearsal got pushed back (I'm awaiting a call at this very moment to tell me it's time to come back for it) so I might not get the chance.  Oh well...I'm thinking something knee-length/mid-calf, maybe blue?  I'll post a pic when I get it, so it will be preserved for the ages.

Lost was kinda awesome.  I loved Mikail (spelled totally totally wrong).  Something about nutty Russian dudes just does it for me.  And Sayid might get to torture him, which is always enjoyable. <3  Supernatural comes back next week! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY~!  I am hoping and praying it doesn't get cancelled...it's such a good show, with a pathetically small audience.  We're a dedicated fanbase though! T.T

We got a new catalog today, and I saw a shirt I must. have.  It says something along the lines of "Thou, minion, art too saucy."  Hee to the nth degree. <333  It's a quote from Two Gentlemen of Verona.  Shakespeare?  "Minion"? "Saucy"? All on one shirt?  That there is my kinda top.

Moodiness

I was feeling really happy, when all of a sudden...WHOOSH. Cloud. Bad. Mood.

It's just kind of a gross, "eh" kind of mood.  I'm not really unhappy with anything, or about anything, just grumpy.  Oh well.  Maybe because it seems kind of useless that I persist in posting everyday when nobody ever actually reads this.  I know what's in my head, so why should I spam it onto the internet, where nobody cares?  I guess it's good, in a way, just to get thoughts out of your mind, and onto some external thing so you can clear your brainz.  I spose.

Just got home from rehearsal...I think it's going well.  It seems kind of freaky that it's March.  Seriously.  May is two months away.  Two months until my last show here.  Two months until my AP tests.  God, I'm going to die.  APUSH is gonna keel me ded, honestly.  APE, I'm not quite so worried about, though I probably should be.  At least for APUSH I *know* what's going to be bending me over and showing me who's boss, for APE, I have no bloody clue what the multiple choice will be on.

I also have my retainers in.  I couldn't wear them for the past week or so, cuz of my sore puffy wisdom-cheeked teeth.  But now I can and, hooboy, they're a bitch.  Yowch.

I finished my two LKH novels, so now I'm back to Devil in the White City, which promises to be good.  I already know a bunch about HH Holmes (not to mention that he was in an episode of Supernatural--a true mark of stardom), and I find him fascinating.  Like I find all my psycopaths fascinating.  Speaking of: I got to watch mah Hitler speech today. Yay.  I don't know if I mentioned this before, but in APUSH, we watched "Triumph of the Will" (uber-famous Nazi propaganda flick) last week, and only watched the beginning part where all the German people are singing and waving and frolicking in the fields and Hitler's all "'Sup."  We also saw the beginning of speechifying from (probably) Goebbels, but the speech wasn't subtitled, which led to much hilarity. ("We don't know what he's talking about.  He could be talking about mac and cheese."  "I love mac and cheese! Mac and cheese will help Germany control the world! Mac and cheese uber alles!" "Germans cheer!"  The sub was not amused.)   So I complained to Master P that if I was gonna watch Nazi propaganda, I wanted me some Hitler.  Today he said "Well, it was requested that we watch some of Hitler's speeches..."  and everyone looks at me and was like, "It was you, right?"  Now half of APUSH thinks I'm a deranged Hitler fangirl, which I'm really not.

On a related but not exactly note, I'm not sure whether or not I want to see Zodiac.  It has a serial killer (yay) and Jake Gyllenhal (yay again), but I'm usually more into the actual, you know, killing people than investigation.  I dunno, I'll see if I find someone to go with me.

I was really happy with Lost last night...as much as I adore the crazy twisty mysteries (and that's not sarcasm, I really do love it), it was nice to be able to just have some *fun* for a change.  Also, in light of the several close-ups (moody and otherwise): I always knew, though it seems I'd forgotten...damn, Sawyer is sexy. Yum.

Slight let-down from HappyBookDay! as I've started reading three, and have zero interest to continue two of them.  Devil in the White City seems like it'll be good though (it's been recommended to me over and over and over and over: "You like history! You LOVE serial killers! READ IT") and my other hold is in, and we'll (hopefully) pick it up today.  I'm trying to read all the Anita Blake books in order (shut up, it's not called a *guilty* pleasure for nothing) and though I'm still waiting on one (I think it's been lost) I'm moving on with the others (I like the pretty boys! Shut up!).

There was a little precious gaiety in AP History today.  APUSH is a class of much giggliness, mainly because I'm in it with my beloved Asian Jello Jiggler.  Jello and I just kind of set each other off.  The class has brought us everything from "Fear The Flying Squadron of Jesus!" to the "Elusize APUSH Essay Carrot."  In a class that's that fact-intensive, everyone gets a little bit cracked.  But today we were watching propaganda from the WWII era...really really boring, by the way.  But we were watching a Nazi reel that consisted of music playing while Hitler rode around in his little car and German people waved at him, when the following exchange takes place (keep in mind that Jello is an extremely perky little Asian girl):

Jello:  Wasn't there some Nazi thing for kids?
Me: The Hitler Youth?
Other Person: Apparently it was cool to be in it.
Me: It was like Boy Scouts.
Jello: For killing people!

I couldn't help it....I pictured a flyer showing happy little Aryan boys in a canoe with the heading "Like Boy Scouts for Killing People!" and snerked mightily, which wouldn't have been bad, except Master P (keeper of all-knowledge) wasn't here today, so the sub gave me a really dirty look.  Oh well.

LOVE my new moodtheme.
