I've been in...I don't know what I'd call it. It's not precisely a bad mood but...a Not Good mood for a while and I don't know what to do with it :\ My mcr4u is...outlined, I guess you'd say? I have each of the major scenes started/50% done, and now I just have to go and fill in some. Maybe moving onto a different writing project will help invigorate me, I just feel so slumpy. Part of it is my work schedule, definitely...it's just so hard to really *do* anything, because my jobs aren't close enough together in time that I can stay in the same "Work Work Work" mood the whole time but they aren't separated from each other enough that I can actually accomplish something between them. Plus, they're so so different, it's just a whole different feel. I actually really like TAing, but ACS drains me so bad. I know I'm no fun to be with afterwards--I'm either completely fried and spazzed out or in a foul mood. At least, I'm hoping that that's my issue, and that the lyrics are wrong.

A friend just posted pics from the year on Facebook and it's neat to look back and go "Oh, ballroom dancing! Oh, Roman Day! Oh, wandering around with people!" ...I miss school. I love being at home, and I of course love not having class, but I really miss having people just, always around. I get so lonely sometimes.

No, I'm good for now. I'll totally come dump it on you if I need it *hug*

Any pairing, idc. Well, preferably not with Ray or Bob since I don't think I write them very well. But seriously, pick two names out of a hat, doesn't matter to me. And you can just pick like, a kink? Or a theme? It doesn't have to be a detailed request.

Yes, please do dump when need be. I owe you. *hug*

Okay. This is kind of odd, but I've been trying to get it forever. Pete/Brandon Flowers. Mean!sex. They don't like each other, but the attraction is mutual. Nothing too extreme, but I wouldn't mind it being vaguely humiliating. Does that make sense? It doesn't matter if you don't know Brandon too well, cuz you can just make him a generic asshole. I don't care who has the upper hand, if either of them do. I don't care what sex act is involved (although wank worked in any which way is always appreciated). I don't care how graphic it is. I probably sound insane. Heh. I can give you background on their 'feud' if need be.

So I was more specific than I expected....

Okay. Here's the summary from the news articles that are out there:

In September of 2005, Brandon allegedly made a comment about the A&R executive they share, insinuating that he spent more time on FOB, or that the label backed FOB more. The next week, Pete posted in the FOB journal "It's funny the way you talk about sharing an A&R guy like it matters,"and "It's too bad you wrote a couple of good songs, otherwise it'd be that much easier to write you off." Pete signs the post: "Mr. Brightsides."

A few days later, Pete posts on fbr.com about patd: "I hope none of THE OTHER Las Vegas BANDs get jealous that there is another gem out in the middle of the desert. F---ing wasting my time on FLOWERS."

In April 2006, Pete offers to take Brandon out on a date to make amends:
"The whole thing has never been like, 'Meet me at the bike racks after school!' And since the whole [feud] started, we've had a whole bunch of near-misses, where we'll show up at a party after he left or something like that," Wentz laughed. "So now I'd just like to make peace. I'd like to go out to dinner with Brandon, because I think he'd be an interesting dude to eat with. But I don't think he would go out to dinner with me. We'll go to Nobu or something like that. I'll get the rock shrimp, some California rolls, perhaps a little spicy tuna."

In June, Brandon gives this interview with NME: "You don't realize what you could be getting yourselves into, with Fall Out Boy, and what kind of impact it could have in a way that you don't really want. ... Culturally, if it gets as big as it is in America, it could change an entire generation of people growing up here. Emo, pop-punk, whatever you want to call it, is dangerous. We don't wanna dislike anyone, and we've still never met Fall Out Boy, but there's a creature inside me that wants to beat all those bands to death. They just all go into the happy emo funnel and everyone loves 'em without thinking. 'Oh, Fall Out Boy likes you? Fuck! I'm gonna go buy your CD!'"

Pete responded immediately: "Honestly, I like Brandon a lot from what I've read in interviews. He's sharp. I don't think people would take as much notice (of his comments) if he wasn't. I respect that." "I kinda like how he called Fall Out Boy 'dangerous'. It felt like how Ice called Maverick 'dangerous' in 'Top Gun'.” Wentz added: “I kind of think of it this way - how could you feel like a superhero if you didn't have an arch-nemesis?" “Besides, we get Brandon's family and friends into Fall Out Boy shows when we play his hometown. It must be very 'dangerous.' I believe they came to the show in Salt Lake City, but I did not meet them. They were on the list, though." "We met a couple of times," explained Wentz, suggesting the Las Vegas band perhaps didn’t realise who they were being introduced to. I think they maybe tried to order drinks from us at the MTV Video Music Awards, because they thought we were waiters. The drummer (Ronnie Vannucci) was really nice though."

One month later, Brandon apologizes, saying he'd "like to take it all back." "These people are just doing what they want to do, just like I am. I'm actually a nice person and I love people. I just am opinionated, and sometimes jealous. It's not something I'm proud of." Flowers seemed most anxious to take back what he said about fellow Las Vegans Panic! at the Disco, that they were just piggy-backing off Fall Out Boy's success. "I don't even know what their music's like, or if I would even like it," he said of Panic. "That made me feel even worse, to think they could have been fans of ours and I hurt their feelings. That's just stupid."

In September, Pete revealed that Brandon personally called him to apologize before he issued his public apology. "He did it before the article came out, which I think is cool, 'cause it's not just a showing for the press," Wentz recounted. "Everyone wants to write the story that's controversial, that's like, 'Oh, that guy's standing next to that girl, he must be f*cking her.' 'These bands must f*cking hate each other' -- that gets the most hits.” "I guess I would like to apologize for ever letting it escalate anywhere," he added. "I've always liked the Killers, and still do. I think Brandon's a fast guy, and I like that."

As an aside, “This Ain’t A Scene, It’s an Arms Race” was originally called “You Can’t Spell Star without A&R.”
