Last night was the most INTENSE Monopoly game of my ENTIRE LIFE. FIVE HOURS. SHOUTING, SUICIDE, STRIPPERS AND TROPHY BOYS WIVES. It was awesome. A++, would play again.

Unfortunately, I was sitting half on a matress on the floor, so my lower back and tailbone are KILLING ME NOW, plus I had ballroom dance this morning, with rumba and HIP ACTION OW. But now I'm back in my room, and it's time for...more picspam! (Very Gerard-heavy)

"Shit," Gerard manages, thinking of the kind of things he's going to have to put up from Pete when he sees them. "How dark are they?"

Then he looks at Frank, at his neck, and the bitemarks are obvious, dark and savage-looking. "You're probably gonna need one too." And he has to laugh, a little, at the mental image of both of them walking around, scarves pulled high over their necks.

Frank laughs too, reaching up to his own neck. A shiver runs down his spine when his finger hits a mark fresh enough that he can still feel indentation. "We can be twins, it'll be fucking sweet." He shrugs a little, scrunching his shoulders up towards his ears so he looks five. "At least they won't think I was just beating on you if I've got some battlescars of my own."

"You sure are." Frank mimes gagging, then arches his back to get another soft kisses before using Gerard as an anchor and pulling himself into a sitting position. He eyes his critically and snickers. "Dude, your hair looks insane." Which, okay, is totally Frank's fault.

"Shut the fuck up, like you don't look rediculous right now." Gerard makes a face at him, scrunching up his nose. And as if to prove his point, his hand goes out into Frank's, ruffling it in such a way that it's sticking up in every direction. "There," he says, finally, grinning.

"Fuck off," Frank bats at Gerard's hand and sighs when he's done, looking up as though he could see his own hair if he tilted his head back far enough. "Don't be jealous 'cause I'm so hot." He stands and, yeah, craning his neck he can see that his entire back is covered in gravel and general debris. Great.

Gerard starts laughing at him, standing up and reaching over to brush some of the gravel and bits of roof off Frank's back. "C'mon," he says, making his way over to the window that they came up to the roof through.

Frank follows, and the apartment seems much quieter when they return. Nate is asleep on the couch, snoring a little through his congestion but generally peaceful looking.

The rest of the gang is in the kitchen with pizza--Ryland and Alex hovering near the wall and eating slowly but guardedly, as though afraid someone will rip the slices out of their hands. Patrick is leaning against the counter and Pete is sitting on it--he's telling a story with very expansive hand gestures (his mushrooms seem in imminent danger of flying onto the wall) but he looks up when Frank and Gerard enter.

"Where did you losers get off to?" His eyes drop to Gerard's neck first and widen. "And what the fuck happened?"

"Nothing." And Gerard tries not to blush, but his face reddens anyway, and it takes Pete only a few seconds before he makes the connection.

"Oh," he says, smirk wide enough it's in danger of eating his face. Gerard shoots him a look and glances back at Frank, and hopefully no one will notice the bite marks on Frank's neck, because it seems that only Pete has gotten what happened so far and he'd like to keep it that way.

Pete's smirk fades after a few seconds, and he says "Oh." again, in a distinctly less pleasant voice. Desperate for a distraction, Frank grabs a piece of half-congealed pizza out of the box on the table.

"How's Nate?"

Ryland makes a face but Alex smiles. "He seems better. We gave him some anticongestants and Pete says we can take him to a clinic tomorrow." He sounds so honestly excited it almost hurts.

"How did it go?" Pete asks low while Alex is still talking, obviously trying not to alert Patrick.

Gerard glances over to Frank, who looks away for a moment before answering. "I found him, and--he won't be able to hurt the other three," Frank says simply, shrugging. He doesn't specify what he's done or who the 'he' is, and it's probably good that he says it low enough, because Alex looks over just as he finishes saying it.

There's a brief darkness in Pete's eyes, and Frank gets the sense that Pete knows, or at least suspects, what he's done and he approves. Then he's all smiles again, wobbling on the counter in order to bump against Patrick and try to steal a piece of pepper off of his pizza. Patrick waves him away with a cheerful "Fuck off, you vulture."

Unswayed, Pete kisses him sloppily on the cheek before turning back to the room at large. "So what's next for you guys?"

"Oh. Uh..." Frank glances over at Gerard and gets an equally blank look. He hasn't really thought past now, but they obviously can't stay here (seven people in an apartment is intense, not to mention a shiny and new murder investigation to avoid).

Gerard frowns, before cautiously offering, "We might go back to Brian's, I think." And because he doesn't want to give Patrick the impression that they're on the run and actually have nowhere to stay (not that the first part is obvious, but the second would be a rather embarrassing misunderstanding), he adds, "He was saying he wanted us to drop by." Brian hadn't, actually, but he had said that if they needed to they could stay at his place for as long as they wanted. Gerard figured it was comparable.

Frank nods along with Gerard and flashes his brightest smile, guaranteed to entrance even the grumpiest elderly woman and--though Patrick is pretty intensely grumpy--hopefully their friends. "Yeah, we'll see how it goes. Is it cool if we crash here another night?"

Patrick mumbles something about "why not, the whole city's doing it" but Pete beams over him and declares that they're welcome all the time, any time but, "ah, you might end up in my room, if that's not too kinky for you."

Gerard smiles apologetically at Patrick before turning to Pete. "As long as we aren't sharing your bed, no." He doesn't really care, to be honest, because he's tired. He hasn't had any coffee since the morning and he's been awake for what seems like years.

"What, Way, you trying to tell me you don't want a piece of this?" He drags his hand down his chest, and it's obvious where his intended destination is before Patrick darts a hand out and grabs it, presumably for the sake of the wide-eyed Alex and narrow-eyed Ryland.

"Believe it or not, Pete, some people honestly don't want to sleep with you."

"You're just jealous, Stump, but you shouldn't be, because I'll love you best always and forever." He grabs him and kisses his cheek even more messily than usual. Patrick squawks, and Frank takes advantage of the distraction to grab Gerard's hand and draw him out of the kitchen.

Gerard bites back a crack about getting brother cooties (it's really a pretty close call), settling for a "Yeah, right" called after Pete as he's dragged out of the kitchen by Frank.

"So, how are we getting back to Brian's?" he asks as they leave. He hasn't really put a whole lot of thought into it yet.

"Bus again?" He scratches his neck, where the distressed skin is starting to itch a little. "We could always hitch, long as you aren't worried about getting picked up by a psycho murderer or something." He smiles.

Gerard frowns, chewing on his lower lip as he thinks. "Yeah, probably bus. Somebody might recognise me if we hitch and they'd be able to drive straight to the police with us in the car. No thanks." As much he wouldn't mind the money-saving factor of hitching there are plenty of problems with the idea logistically, and he's pretty sure he's going to pass.

They form a makeshift nest out of blankets and Pete's T-shirts and are asleep by the time Pete wanders in. Coffee in the morning, then off to the bus station.

Meanwhile...Officer Bryar and Agent Toro are eating waffles.

Not in a weird sense, exactly, or an outside-of-work one. Someone (neither could remember who exactly) had come in as they were reviewing the case files for the hundredth time and dropped two take-out boxes from the diner down the street. He'd said that they were going to have a shitty day and might as well have some waffles for their trouble. So far, Officer Bryar hasn't seen any sign of that, except for a little syrup on his shirt.

Then one of the junior police officers pops their head in the door and announces, "They found another body. The chief needs to see you."

Agent Toro chokes on his bacon.

The chief is not pleased. Two dead homeless kids isn't that big of a deal--two dead homeless kids found cut up, both of whom known to associate with Peter Wentz, himself a known associate of one Michael Way, the brother of a suspected mass murder...yeah, the press is going to have a field day with this, and didn't the FBI assign Agent Toro to this case because of his exemplary skills and flawless record?

"I recommend we go for Wentz," Agent Toro folds his arms, sick of getting glares from cops who don't want to believe he's better than them but can't understand why he hasn't caught Way yet. "He knows something. We can probably grab him on a pedo charge, spending all his time with underage boys, get him to trade information."

Bryar frowns, and he knows Toro well enough from having spent the last half a year working with him to know that Toro isn't sure it'll work. To be honest, there's no proof of any crime on Wentz's part. But it's the best they can do at this point, and considering two bodies have shown up within a week of each other he knows they have to take what they can get.

He nods at Toro, praying it'll work. The last time they tried to interview someone about this case he got set on fire by a giggling teenage blur (they never did find out who it actually was) and he's not keen on repeating the experience.

Toro knows that Bryar probably isn't too enthusiastic about heading back to Pete Wentz's territory--the man seems to think of himself as some kind of messiah, and the kids that tag along after him tend towards the intensely wacked out.

It's only a half-formed plan, by all rights it shouldn't work. Neither of them could have even dreamed that they would knock on Wentz's door in the late morning, and find his apartment crowded by three underage boys in varying states of undress.

Wentz looks innocent enough, all things considered, and maybe the situation could be interpreted differently (some part of Agent Toro's mind pipes up hopefully that they could be just, you know, innocently staying there) but it works out for them.

"You're coming down to the station with us," Officer Bryar informs him, looking around at the three boys (and the youngest looks about twelve, the sick fuck). He's understandably nervous but he hasn't seen these three before, and that's something.
